Location: Phoenix, AZ Main Campus

Grand Canyon
University’s Food Service department is seeking a full-time, Lead Cashier for the Student Union center. This position will work Monday
through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. along with an occasional weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as lead cashier by
guiding and assisting in the training of entry-level cashiers. - Operates a cash register, receives payments of cash and charges from
customers or employees for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers. - Provides the highest
quality of service to customers at all times. - Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
- Understands and follows Grand
Canyon University cash handling policies and procedures. - May set up and stock the beverage area or other assigned areas.
- May
also be required to prepare for service before the meal and clean the dining room after the meal (wiping tables, cleaning chairs, and
otherwise, ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the
position. Ability to effectively communicate and receive information in a manner easily understood by fellow employees.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least
1 year of related work experience. - A Maricopa County Food Handler’s card is required before starting.
